Does your project have bleeds? |
| |
|
| - |
Finished Size (6"
X 9") |
| - |
Size with 1/8 in. bleeds
(6.25" X 9.25") |
| - |
To create bleeds, simply bleed the images over the crop marks 1/8
in. |
| - |
Bleeds insure that your image will go all the way to the edge of
the paper. |
| - |
Bleeds prevent a white line between the edge of the paper actual
cut line. |
| - |
If a picture goes all the way to the edge
of the page, it is a good idea to use bleeds. |

Are your images in CMYK
Color? |
| |
|
| - |
CMYK Color |
| - |
CMYK color is often called four color process. |
| - |
CMYK is a build of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. |
| - |
CMYK uses subtractive colors. |
| - |
CMYK is the only way to produce high quality
printed media. |
| |
|
| - |

RGB Color is a build of Red, Green and Blue. |
| - |
RGB uses additive colors. |
| - |
RGB is used to produce images on a TV or computer
screen. |
| - |
Printing RGB images will often result in pictures
converting to B/W. |
 |
 |
Did you use quality images? |
| |
|
| - |
300 dpi (Dots Per
Inch) |
| - |
For the best image quality, please use images that are 300 dpi or
higher. |
| - |
300 dpi is the minimum for high quality printed media. |
| - |
72 dpi is used for TV and computer screens. |
| - |
Although 72 dpi may look acceptable on your
screen use, 72 dpi will result in poor image quality on printed products.
DO NOT USE IMAGES DOWNLOADED DIRECTLY FROM THE INTERNET. In almost
all cases these will be low resolution images and will not print well. |

Did you use fonts correctly? |
| |
For fonts with special effects (Bold, Italic, Underlined, etc.)
do not select a font trait from your drop down menu. Use the specific
font for the effects that you need. For underlined font(s), the underline
must be created as a graphic-with a line, tool, not selected as a
trait from the drop-down menu. |
